Wow, Blast from the past

I just stumbled acrossed this, it's "Fat Jack" Robinson's "Fat Attack", graced the cover of Hotrod Mag back in '85 as the fastest street rod on the road.  Anyway back when I was a Jarhead my CO was an avid Hot Rodder.  Anyway I was his right hand man when we put together the Armed forces day open house on the base.  Long story short we had some sweet Rods at the show and we had Drag races down the runway.  I got to know Fat Jack during this time and got to sit shot gun in this beast on a run down the Runway.  Fastest fucking ride I'd ever been in my life!  Blown 502 Chev in a 46' Ford frame, my balls were glued to the back seat ya know.  I also damn near pissed myself going down the runway .................. Howzit Brudda

I love the smell of racing fuel - the headache afterward is a bit of a bummer though.

I think that one of the most pleasant and sad  feelings  at the same time is the nostalgia. And I'm sure that every man feels the attack of the nostalgia from time to time. And every time we understand that we can't stop the time.
