Shark With Webbed Feet

Look what I stumbled across, now this is strange .........

Freak! Malaysian Fisherman Reels in Shark with 'Webbed Feet'
Underwatertimes.com News Service

Penang, Malaysia -- Has anyone ever seen a baby shark with webbed feet? A worker of the Malaysian Fisheries Development Board (LKIM) in Batu Maung, Penang, made this unusual find when she was given the 1.7kg fish by a fisherman at the jetty recently.

Mary Looi, 48, said she only realised the shark was different when she wanted to cook tomyam fish for lunch for her family.

“It was only when I was about to cut the shark the day after I received it that I found two webbed feet sticking out from the lower part of the body.

“The shark is one-metre long,” she said.

Looi said she dared not cook the fish after consulting her husband Gooi Man Kaw, 57, who told her that according to Chinese belief, eating fish with unusual features could bring disaster or ill luck.

“Immediately, I returned the fish to the fisherman that night at about 10pm.

“He threw it back into the sea,” said Looi.

Looi, who has been working at LKIM for 10 years, said this was the first time she had stumbled upon such an unusual find.

When contacted, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Muka Head marine research station head Prof Dr Zulfigar Yasin said this is the first time he had heard of fish with legs found in the Malaysian waters.

“There is a possibility that the fish could have swum from other waters into Malaysian waters.

“As far as I am concerned, fish species with legs or bony fins can only be discovered in the waters of North Sulawesi in Indonesia or South Africa,” he said.

It's a lie, all of it. Evolution is nothing but a bunch of blasphemous lies and for spreading it you all are going to be burned at the stake!!! Rolling on the floor laughing

Here's what we got....

Here's what we got.... Another 2 inches last night....

The latest blast of winter weather pushed the Green Bay area to a new December snowfall record, besting the mark set in 1887.

The storm late Thursday and early Friday brought 4.1 inches of new snow, bringing the total for the month to 39.7 inches, according to the National Weather Service office in Ashwaubenon. The old December record was 36.4 inches.

With five days left in the year – and calls for snow Saturday night, Sunday and again on Tuesday – Green Bay could top the record by several more inches.

Here's a look at the 10 snowiest Decembers on record:

1. 39.7 inches 2008
2. 36.4 inches 1887
3. 28.9 inches 2000
4. 27.0 inches 1977
5. 26.9 inches 1990
6. 26.7 inches 1968
7. 26.5 inches 1893
8. 24.1 inches 2007
9. 23.8 inches 1888
10. 22.7 inches 1985

Well, we're sort of next door to Wa. but right now the boyfriend is out there shovelling 4 feet of snow away from the house. It's going to be warm today and the great melt has begun. I read in the news that we already have "pools of water as big as lakes" on our highways and roads.

Oddly, we rarely get more than a couple of inches per year of the white stuff. This year was a shocker. I sincerely cannot recall the last time we had a "White Christmas".

That has got to be one of the freakiest things I have ever seen. SO what did they do with it after they found it? As far as snow goes Michigan got hit up a few weeks ago, more than a foot in some places. But all we had to do was wait a day and it all got melted away.

That is freaky looking.

That is freaky looking. Wouldn't you expect scientists or marine biologists to be really disappointed because the woman threw it back into the sea?

I think it would have been very interesting for someone to study in more detail than these pictures allow.

Somewhere, that story is driving Fox Mulder nuts.

LOL. I agree, Mulder is having a fit. There are so many strange creatures and mutations in this world that we probably don't even know about. I wonder what they think when they see US! Smiling

I read this story before,

I read this story before, and I think they threw the thing back in the water which is a shame really, because it kind of throws some doubt over the find.

It does look a little freaky though.
