Car troubles

It so frikken figures.  I've had my Chrysler 300m Special when it was brand new in 2003.  Not many miles on it today and taking really good care of it (except for the stupid low curbs that the front end catches if I park it too close to those things--I swear it is going to pull off one day).  No problems at all, except I get the "ghost lights" thing that others with the 300m have complained about (lights flicker inside sometimes). This past summer it rolled to 41,000 exactly and then it started going gimpy.  I took it to the dealer and paid for the a cam sensor problem.

Go to today, and I get an "Emissions Recall" on the catalytic converter, which can become damaged blah blah blah following a camshaft position sensor fault.

So... can I get a refund on the work that was already done since this "fix" is free?  I think I ought to.

Yeah I'd go give them hell about it, make sure you have the details when you ask about it.  Then if they start to make excuses give them grief and make some noise, that's bullshit ya know .....

Yes, you should, maybe you will get lucky and it will be easy, you certainly aren't the first person this has happened to.

If the first repair was a factory recall (fix it) then yes as the original owner you are entitled to a refunk if you paid for it prior to the recall.

Next time buy foreign! Rolling on the floor laughing

hardy har har.  I'm not laffing, btw Smiling

Let's see, my only real car troubles have been with fords... Mustang drive line falling out on HWY99 (at least it was in front of The Cycle Barn, and I know the owners), pin/rack steering breaking as I turned onto the Nisqually bridge at Mt Rainier (that would have been fun falling into the river... glad the maintenance guy was following behind me, happened when I worked up there), transmission going out in the same Mustang, bought a Tempo (won't discuss those issues, but I was able to get rid of it when I was in my one and only car accident), last Ford had another transmission problem, and it died again along a parkway with no driveways or exits (could only back up off it.  That was scary as I had my son who was just 3 at the time in the car with me).

My 300m has been awesome... 6yrs, no real issues just typical maintenance stuff.  Till now, but I think I will be able to get a refund.

Considering Ford is the one that didn't take a guv loan, I wish I could trust their vehicles better... but at least our ford truck has run great in the ten years we've had it.
