Does the membership feel that it represents a comprehensive cross-section of thought? Are we all "fringe-y" or do we represent the greater whole fairly well?

Sorry to say but I believe we're the fringe, humans are a herd/pack animal. They are very resistant to anyone or anything that is "Outside the Herd".

We're the "fringe" but funny ...........we're the fringe of each other as well sometimes! (read MOST times!) LOL

I dunno. People know the world is fucked up. They're aware, but most don't care as long as they get to keep what they already have. When/if things go south, they will snowball exponentially.
Then, we'll have a new "herd".

I don't know if I'd say it is a comprehensive cross-section. Nobody here is an outspoken Socialist or Communist, so we aren't exactly on the fringes.
From what I have noticed, everybody is on a different side (left vs right) to an issue, but nobody seems to stray too far from the middle ground.
This isn't isn't a Free Republic vs Democratic Underground cage match.
