Zeitgeist Movie

Has everybody here seen the Zeitgeist movie? I watched it last year and found it interesting.

I was reminded of it while reading another thread here yesterday. There's also an addendum that I haven't seen yet.

If anybody's interested here's a link: http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

It's an excellent movie,

It's an excellent movie, puts a lot of things into perspective. Especially the origins of religion. Eye-wink

Zeitgeist is a little skewed

Zeitgeist is a little skewed and incomplete, some "facts" are fabricated to maintain powerful continuity. But the overall message is more important - Control is a very old game, and we need to be aware of the players and our part in it.

I'd love to see an intelligent debate between the creators of the movie and someone with the facts to point out what is inaccurate about it.

I find it very interesting, but I don't have the previous knowledge under my belt to notice when they're fabricating things.

I will say that the fabrications are in the spirit of 'poetic license' in a way - the sub-themes and presentation are made more effective, otherwise it seems like a random collection of dissociative information. Rebuttals to the movie are usually done by Christian sites arguing against the first part of the movie. It is possible to find information to counter the other parts, just takes some research.

I don't even recall hearing

I don't even recall hearing of this movie. If it is something that the church of rome disapproved of, it must have been good.

It's a good movie and you'll see some answers why we are now today and true it is about the people who control it are the most powerful not the government but the few people who control them. Divide and conquer that the oldest trick in the book and they are still using them.

Just watched it, and it's an eye opener.  Further proof that money talks.  Makes me think of the central bank that our country has.  Also, I can relate it to Frank Herbert's Dune, "He who controls the spice, controls the universe." or something like that.  Maybe that was Frank's purpose...

Wanna open your eyes even more?  Watch the BBC series the "Century of Self", I posted it on my blog

http://www.rejecttheherd.net/blog/pagan/controling-herd

It's four one hour segments, it takes a while to get through them all but DAMN the pieces fall together.

Re: Zeitgeist Movie

It was certainly interesting but I'm also wary of it. I find it to almost be the opposite extreme. My dad believes it wholeheartedly and it just leads to huge distrust and conspiracy theories. No doubt mistakes were made during 9/11... perhaps things were even intentionally overlooked so that Bush could move ahead with his plan... but despite how much I hated the Bush Administration, I dona't believe that it was all planned by the government. I think Bush was an idiot and people didn't do their jobs properly and it's probably as simple as that.

Re: Zeitgeist Movie

The theme and the message of Zeitgeist is important but most of the things in the movie have already been debunked, I love it! Christians always get furious Frustrated
