Yoga

It's a holistic approach of physical, mental and spiritual development. But yoga what most people know is asanas or yoga postures, the exercise which develops and maintains our physical and mental health. That's fine. Even if we only practice the yoga postures, still we will get much benefit of it. Do you practice yoga?

I used to. Quite a bit

I used to. Quite a bit actually. It was very good for me up until I had back surgery in 2000. Now, I have a lot of problems with the moves that i used to be able to do. I think they should teach it in school, or at least make it an elective course.

I prefer Tai Chi - more

I prefer Tai Chi - more holistic in its approach. Besides it goes better with Sushi too!

LOL, that's the 'drawback' of Yoga. We are advisable to be vegetarian to get maximum benefit of doing Yoga. But you don't have to. If you practicing it for awhile, it becomes your need instead of obligation.

I haven't tried yoga but I

I haven't tried yoga but I have been planning to try it. I have read that it creates balance in our body by building strength and flexibility thru the different postures.

I have been doing yoga for

I have been doing yoga for the past year. The postures may look easy but I tell you, they are not. You need to have proper breathing, full concentration, clear mind and body just do the poses.

I don't know anyone who does

I don't know anyone who does yoga. But by the way it is shown on different media, I find it very intriguing.

YOGA FLAME, anyone?

I had been practicing yoga

I had been practicing yoga for about three years now. I generally consider it as a part of meditation and exercise. It makes me comfortable and keeps me cool. Further it also reduces health risk concerning muscles, respiration etc.

Re: Yoga

Yoga is a form of exercise that helps a person to focus more towards his/her inner self. It is believed to calm the nervous system and balance the body, mind and spirit. Some people claimed that this form of exercise have helped them tremendously. I want to start practicing it.

Re: Yoga

I did practise yoga quite a lot before I had kids, and I did start to get some real benefits from it.

I would like to take it up again one day. Perhaps when the girls are a bit older and much less demanding.

Re: Yoga

I am practicing YOGA for about 6 years now

But would like to recommend that the best time is to do it in the morning before sunrise and ending it with the rise of the sun

And also u can do yoga exercise when u feel a bit stressed or  depressed

Practicing it daily morning can bring a great lot difference in u

Given that u do it in the correct way

Re: Yoga

My body rebels against those positions so I'm not really able to practice Yoga. There's no denying its advantages, though.
