Besides lots of vitamin c, does anyone know some good remedies that will help cold symptoms? I know that colds will eventually go away its own, but I have a little one here that I am trying to help get some sleep! Oh and we already have plenty of chicken noodle soup
.
I totally swear by Oil of Oregano, that and I'm a regular drinker of Yerba Matte. Oil of Oregano has been used by centuries and works very well. When ever I feel down I take about 6 drops a day in water, I haven't gotten sick for a long time. It's a natural anti biotic and is a great all around keep your immunity up. I had the flue a few years ago I couldn't shake, over the counter crap only masks the symptoms. Anyway my Dad got me on Oil of Oregano and I kicked the flue and haven't been down with a bug since.
Now Yerba Matte has a shit load of anti oxidants and I've been drinking that for the last couple of years also, I've even given up coffee
Time with a splash of patience.
Now to clear up stuffed sinus's nothing is better than Wasabi!!!!! Who needs drugs that have shit loads of side effects when a good dose of Wasabi will drain your sinus's with the snap of your fingers!

Have you got one of those really annoying coughs that keeps you awake?
If so, I read about an insane remedy that said if you put vicks vapor rub on your feet and then put your socks on it stops the cough. I have never tried it myself, but it could be worth a shot!
I was ready to kill myself with a progressive, unproductive cough because it was keeping me up at night. I went to my naturopathic clinic and the attending gave me an herbal elixir that mixed an expectorant with a cough suppressant. I was like
, and she told me my coughs would be less frequent, but very productive when I did cough (I would hack up the goo). Sure enough, it worked exactly like she said. I kept that bottle for two more years and it worked every time anyone in the family had a cough.

I first heard about Oil of Oregano when I read that they were using it as a treatment for patients from the Chernobyl disaster with miraculous results. I was jumping up and down that some old russian folk cure was kicking ass on radiation poisoning. Herbal and plant remedies are not to be scoffed at...

No they are not, they actually work so much better than so called modern medicine. Think about this, did you know that Medicine didn't surpass Roman abilities until well into the 20th Century.
Something to think about you know!
I've never heard of oil of oregano before. Anything else that its good for?
Never mind, I just read your link. Thanks for the suggestion. Look like it might even work for my cats and any wounds that they might get.
Shoogie just got back from the vets yesterday. He had a worm burrow into his skin and try to deposit larvae aroung his head near his ear. The worm went away when I put neosporin on it, but the scab had to be cut away for it to heal properly, which is what is happening now.

The Ancient Greeks and Romans used it but called it Hyssop. It's fucking incredible but you need to insure you get the real shit, not Mexican parsley. Go to a Health Food store and look around, make sure it's real Mediterranean Oregano, wild. When I go down to S. America I start taking it daily for a week before and during my trip. Also when ever I start feeling under the weather like a bug coming along I take it daily. Other than that maybe once every week or two to keep my anti boitics levels up.
Seriously it is amazing shit, I swear by it.
How do you take it? Orally, by the teaspoon? Do/can you cook with it?

My Dad puts the drops under his tongue, I dont' recommend that. I tried that and it burnt the shit out of it. I just take a 1/2 cup of water, put about six drops in it, drink it then fill up the cup a couple of times with water and drink.
The cold is a big disease that if untreated will go in 7 days only
And if treated will be ailed in a week
