I'm kicking out around a few ideas. I do love Drupal and what "can" be done with it but here's the problem, time. I've been so damn busy I've really lagged behind in a few things that I wanted to get going so I've been thinking of going with a commercial offering for a CMS. It will have forum's, blogs and the ability to have a launch point (main page) along with a few other goodies. Now I'm going to have to give up some flexibility but I will be gaining a more proactive support infrastructure and I won't have to spend so much time on it. I'm just too damn busy making a living ya know
Oh to follow up, this is as I stated "kicking around" an idea at the moment. What it would entail "if" I decide to go that route is to design the site, then once finished just have a link to the old site as a sub domain for old archived info.
I will be later on this year, beginning next year be designing a more of a political activist site I'm going to call Citizen Revolt. I've got the domain registered but haven't done anything with it as of yet. So moving RtH onto a commercial CMS would free up some time for me to work on that project.
Sounds nice! Any chance of getting a mobile version up? I have a droid now.

Yep, that's one of the "perks", there's a number of ease of use plugins that I can activate without having to spend much time on.
What I plan on doing is putting the new site on www.rtherd.com and just have pointers over to this site for the old posts and data. There isn't a conversion script to import the existing data, so I'll have this site as a "read only" site for archival purposes only. I'll populate the new forums with some posts and have pointers over to the archived site. I'm looking to do this in about a month, it's pretty slick and rtherd will be centered around the forums and a couple the blogs.
As I said this will free up a good chunk of time for me to work on the activist site I wanna build. Which I do want to enlist some of the members here on the design and direction of it, that will be later though and I'll kick you out an email when I'm ready to go into the planning and design phase for that site.

Can't Wait!
It would be kewl to make a "wikileaks" for the state of Washington using public disclosure as it's source. Hell, you could probably finance it with lawsuits over lack of disclosure!
Yeah I know I promised there was major changes/improvements coming up that should have kicked off in Jan. Well this is what happened, I bought a commercial forum/site script. Contacted a designer and started negotiating the transition, this was all back in November. Well bottom line the fucker flaked out on me, asshole and I just haven't had the time to pursue other designers at this time. I've been so damn swamped at work, hell for example I actually earned my base salary back in July ..... Anyway currently the redesign has been put on the back burner for at least until I get back from my annual sabbatical in Peru. I'm taking three weeks this year which also includes a few days down in the Amazon.
