Just got my new Kindle

You know I used to be very, very skeptical of the Kindle and other eReaders.  But with my last trip down to the Andes I didn't want to pack a bunch of books.  So I talked to a few people at work, did a bit of research and broke down and bought the Kindle DX.  Damn if I didn't start liking it, I mean I really liked it.  Having access to your library on one device, very easy to read and even able to read outside in the sun.

Well bottom line is I used to read a lot back in my teens then I just sort of fell out of it.  Well the Kindle got me reading for enjoyment again and with me not needing to wear my reading glasses along with just taking it along with me on trips or just going out for a bite to eat is awesome.

Anyway my Dad was eyeballing it when he came over to visit just before I went down South.  Last week he spent a few days in the VA Hospital to run some tests so I gave him my Kindle DX and bought the new DX which just arrived today.  Man I'm loving it, the improvements are awesome.  I love the color, it's thinner and the contrast for the eInk has been improved, DAMN!

I love it and I'm hooked, like I said it got me back into reading again and I'm a lovin it!

Cheers Amazon, you've out did yourself with the Kindle for it is the best eReader out there no holds bar! Howzit Brudda

Yeah, right .............

After messing about with Win 7 for a couple of weeks on my Netbook for testing/familiarization purposes only I'm happy to say I'm back to having Linux across the board Eye-wink

For what it's worth I do run Win 7 as a virtual machine on my Linux Workstation.  I continue to use it for testing purposes and to play Civ 4 from time to time.

But back to the subject, I really do love my Kindle and it connects to Linux without any problems at all. Happy Feet!
