Although there are any number of items in these videos that are factual, I believe they fall into the realm of Conspiracy theories. This not to say they are without merit and unworthy of objective considerations.
Let me clarify "Conspiracy Theories", they're not all whacked out or false. A number of them actually have a good chunk of solid evidence backing them up.
Absolutely, just given the recent popular connotation assigned to the term Conspiracy Theory I felt compelled to clarify or attempt to clarify what was being presented.
Yep and when the "Theories" are accepted and proven they are then called "Scandals", "Cover ups", etc.
IMO most are just waiting for validation before they are generally accepted.
Conspiracy theories are merely a starved populations' cries for Truth.

We need a preacher smilie!
I had a conversation with two young marines a month ago who had just returned from a six week training somewhere in the mid-west on the internment camps. They indicated that there were also teams from a number of private organizations (mercenaries)going through similar training.
When I asked what they would do if deployed to implement their training they indicated they would have some tough decisions to make and would most likely show up to be issued weapons and then make a call. I interpreted this to mean they had little or no interest in rounding up their relatives or other citizens who may be dissenting.
Damn I wonder just how many citizens these camps can hold and more importantly how many citizens would stand up and join the dissident movements?
Either way, that's good to know....
Okay I just finished watching Glen beck and part of his show today was about debunking the FEMA Camps. I had been hearing about these camps for sometime but never found any real credible information confirming them, along with cattle cars (Trains) supposedly CTX has in Montana for the purpose of transporting people to the camps.
Then I had this conversation with the two Marines - so I figured there must be some degree of truth to this rumor. Now I must admit that I am inclined to go with the Marines first hand info. To what extent these camps exist currently I have no idea.
I do know that decommissioned military bases can be activated rather quickly. I was part of the team that activated Fort Chaffee, when the Vietnamese airlift was underway. It took less than a week to have that facility fully functioning! Within 12 hours of arriving we had a fully operational field hospital running and then a few days later we had the base hospital and clinics operating. The first C130s with refugees started arriving within 24 hours of me getting there. So bases can be prepped and waitng in short notice.
So I am still out on the FEMA camps already being operational. I will watch the debunking more tomorrow.
It's all about the Halliburton camps, isn't it? It's the Authoritarian solution to resource-management: Concentrate the mouths and barely sustain them on the cheap. If they don't like it, send them to the camps. Authority is such a close-minded asshole. We are capable of so much more, and the majority may surprise us if they are simply informed. Why is it that so much pivots on the fulcrum of facts? It's incredible that we are so susceptible. I contend that source of our propensity for manipulation is also our greatest asset. We are naturally curious evermore, the downfall is when we become incurious and set in our ways. When, as AO says, we think we know something, we will have a hard time learning it.
If we are not herd animals, why do we look to shepherds? Why do we allow the tyranny of a few corrupted minds to influence us into believing their reality? It is truly baffling to me. Unless we are herd animals. Then, I'm afraid, the time of the stock-yard is nigh.
Google 'Greg Palast, FEMA' and you get some interesting information. I guarantee you that even if the original intention of concentrating people indefinitely is benevolent, they are gathering intel about the feasibility of population control. I think they will find that it is easier to concentrate the willing and will create city-states ala Huxley.
It's all about the Halliburton camps, isn't it?
Yes apparently based on the rumor Halliburton received the contract to construct the facilities. No doubt this started during the Bush/Cheney administration.
I guess I have no problem accepting this concept based on my distrust of past and present admins. But i do have an issue with proliferation of rumor not based on verifiable fact. Suspicion is one thing but without proof it is nothing more than that. It is not beyond comprehension to imagine just such camps existing. If they do then "We the People" have a right to know why they exist - after all it our money that would have paid for them and potentially our family and friends sent to them!
It is shit like this that gives the Conspiracy folks little weight, hence the popular connotation of Conspiracy theory as a bunch of nut bags!
Now the video clips do provide actual direct quoting that is substantiated giving rise to alarm and the flags go up. Filtering the bullshit from the wheat is not always a simple task.
Yeah - that's one thing about the power of Conspiracy - sensible folks begin to investigate for themselves and that broadens the knowledge-base and intensifies the light on the subject. I continue to be curious and will keep you posted.
There are a lot of conspiracy theories and some of them have real facts that backed up by evidence.
There are a lot of conspiracy theories and some of them have real facts that backed up by evidence.
Yep, you've got it. Just go to the source and peel away the bullshit and a lot of times the truth is scarier than the theory. Like for instance Rhodes Scholars, I went to the source and read Cecil Rhodes writings himself of his goal and why he established the foundation. It makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up due to the amount of power and influence Rhode Scholars have in the world.
"When you get rid of the impossible, what is left is the truth." - Godot, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
That sums up a lot of conspiracy theories. Find what simply shouldn't happen, and peel those away. Once you've peeled away the lies, excuses, and coverups, you're left with the truth. And when you finally find it, you say "They tried to cover up -this-!?"
The thing is that we are expected to be infants, therefore we "can't handle the truth." What that really means is if we adults knew, we wouldn't let them get away with their crap. It's classic child and adolescent behavior - starts at around six - cover up the truth to protect my ass. If their development is arrested by not experiencing consequences, and the adolescent finds themselves in a role of responsibility, they believe that they are protecting folks from whom they hide the truth. I bet you could even find a lot of outspoken people thanking these sycophants for hiding the truth from them so that they can keep their heads in the sand.
