That reminds me Lynn, I did

That reminds me Lynn, I did offer you the chance to have a few beers and hang out with Rob, Gordo and the rest of they guy's didn't I? I'm keeping an eye on the tour dates, for when they come into town. It might be a while though. They like to tour then take a year of so off to spend time with family. But don't fret, it may take a while but I do deliver on my promises Eye-wink

I'd like to see Fleetwood

I'd like to see Fleetwood Mac. I enjoyed a documentary on them that was on TV a few years ago.

By the way, I read an article in the musician's union trade paper that said it took Stevie Nicks 19 years to get out of her initial 7 year recording contract, because the record company kept her busy touring and only then she got out of it because she signed away royalties on her boxed set of albums, which traditionally would be an artist's retirement package.

So maybe she can use the money from the tour... There are some crazy success stories in the music business.

Ha! Reminds me of the

Ha! Reminds me of the Wayne's World joke about everybody in the suburb getting Rumors in the mail along with a free sample of Tide. As a USC fan, I have to love the Mac (especially when they play Tusk). U-C-L-A sucks!

Amazing they could get the

Amazing they could get the whole group back together with all the drama, divorces, and sleeping around that went on between them. Maybe time heals everything (or maybe they are getting a boatload of dough). Either way glad to see them still making music.

I am suprised they are still

I am suprised they are still around considering the fact their music is fairly dated. Then again, so is KISS and I dig them alot.

I disagree. In fact I've recently been thinking that what the music industry could use is another Fleetwood Mac.

Me, I move on. Yes I still enjoy a lot of music, very diverse in fact. It depends on my mood, I listen at times to Mozart, Chopin, then some Elvis, Big Mama Thorton, Hank Sr., Beatles, Sex Pistols, The Avengers, etc. But mostly what I listen to now is Industrial, you know Tool, :wumpscut, Front Line Assembly, Combichrist etc. Basically I enjoy talent and creativity. I've never really liked "Pop" music, it's nothing but the major Media conglomerates putting together music in a package to sell as a "consumer product" for the "Herd". Pop music is just too sterile and lacks pretty much any creativity.

Careful... not all music

Careful... not all music that makes it into the pop realm is 'herd' music. It's funny, but it's my foray into independents that helped me grow an appreciation for all things Fleetwood and Moody and Bolan. wumpscutt, Mentallo and the Fixer, sKINNY pUPPY - these types of projects do much for clearing the head of 'herd' programming musically, consequently I have found my forays into music much more genuine since. Even if what I'm listening to is 'pop'.

I was specifically speaking of "Pop" music, NiN and Tool sure isn't "Herd" music and it's made it to the airwaves. Not to mention the Greats like Johnny Cash, who I had the immense pleasure and privilege of meeting not once, but twice. Eye-wink
OH and for the record, yes I love Fleetwood Mac Cool

I love Fleetwood Mac. Is Stevie going to be there? I love her voice. It's so husky and awesome! I would love to hear some new stuff from them.
