Well, this deadly outbreak of H1N1 has now forced us into making some harsh decisions, the latest being that children at one area hospital are now banned from being in that hospital unless visiting a dying relative or in the ER for their own injuries. This is going to open up a whole hornet's nest, and it's probably going to spread to other hospitals.
I strongly believe this could have been a ad hoc arrangements to contain the spread of the disease. This could have been now removed. Any further news on this front.
I don't know what area you are refering to orryman, but it seems to me that children have always had limitations when it comes to making visits to some wards in hospitals. I don't think this is going to be a "hornets nest". In my area we have had three deaths from H1N1 since monday, people are taking this very seriously because it isn't just the poor in the inner city it is affluent folks from the burbs too. The hospital move is a good thing, way better then the states move to push the seriousness under the rug.
This can be a great decision to get away from the H1N1 virus,
and to prevent the huge population of that particular area.
Responsible action by the hospital IMO. They are being proactive in an attempt to minimize the spread of the virus. It is a non-issue !
Someone finally said "Fuck the children!" and they weren't talking about altar boys. Things are looking up in the world.
I agree, Aries. I'm tired of the unfair status kids have in today's world as well.

About time we stopped using the "children" as an emotional argument/advocate for whatever agenda one is promoting. I prefer taking a more wholistic approach and consider people of all age groups!
This is a good thing. They are a bunch of little germ sponges, spreading germs everywhere they go
Wow! Boan and I agree on something!
