$34billion on alternative therapies

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/WellnessNews/story?id=8215703&page=1

Amazes me how much people spend on alternative medicine. I don't have anything against it, but some of them are made by Capital-C Con-artists. Those Kinoki footpads being a perfect example, which turn black when held over boiling water.

Look me in the eye and tell me that the steam from boiling water which went through a Brita filter has significant toxins in it.

There are success stories, but with most doctors being biased towards their fancy chemicals, they'll condemn it to the day they die.

Cons exist whenever there are gullible and greedy people.
Even non-alternative medicine has its share of cons - i.e., the AMA!

Yep, remember when bleeding the patient due to "bad blood" was common practice along with leeches.  Then in recent history how all fats where bad for you, then now they admit that the human body has to have some fats.  Personally it's still a guessing game and to me the AMA still has a lot to learn from those who practice herbal medicine  Eye-wink
