This is an excellent speech, it's very, very good. Glenn Beck really out did himself with this one.
It's long but so very worth the watch, hell it's worth watching more than once!

He can be really inspiring at times. And, he is attacked for being so. The truth hurts, doesn't it?
I watched part 1. I'll catch up on the rest when I get time.
Thanks, Bud!

It gets better and better, he gets on a roll and doesn't let up. I appreciate his honesty and passion, not to mention he nails many things right on the head.
Its sad when somebody who tells it like it is, receives bad reviews from the left.

Look what the "left" and the "right" did to Ron Paul, he's a threat to their power so they will do what they can to crucify them.
Glenn isn't easy on the RNC either, he's rather harsh on them. This is what I'm liking about Glenn, he's not a Party Hack, he sure seems to be honest. Not like Olberman, who was harsh (well founded) with 'Dubya but not only makes excuses but is Obama's #1 fan when he expands the Bush Doctrine, fucking party hack.
I agree. I didn't even like Olberman during the presidential campaign. His one-sided opinions lacked balance and the refusal to look at the truth shows him to be exactly what he is, ... a hack.
Glenn does point out his issues with "Progressives" aka "Liberals" aka "Socialists" which the points he has with them I mostly agree with him on. But if you notice he really hammers home the "Core" issue, SPENDING. The spending is what is killing us as a country and is obliterating our freedoms, it's what I call enslaving the people. He's got some excellent points which he backs up in relation to the 1920 and the 1930 financial collapse, how we recovered from the 1920 collapse which was more severe that then 1930's collapse which due to FDR's policies extended it 10 years. He has back upped his comments very well and again slams the GOP just as much as the Democrats.
Again, this speech takes some time but it's very well worth the watch, I very highly recommend not only watching it once but twice also.
Cheers
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Glen has always been an independent and that is greatly part f his appeal. He calls it as he sees it mostly and substantiates his arguments with factual data/information. Then there is his home-boy country charm demeanor that he uses rather well. I like the guy mostly and catch his program radio/tv daily.
Obermidiot = what a has been loser!
He's doing very well and as you say his "home-boy country charm" really works. There are of course a few things that him and I differ on but not only I expect that he also acknowledges it, nor does he expect everyone to agree with him on everything. I really like him, allot. Hell my hard core Republican who shits Republican "red" loves him. He's done a great service to point out that the problems isn't one party it's those who have infected the two party system to create in reality only ONE party.
Our country is NOT a Democracy, it's a Republic. A Democracy is mob rule where a Republic is a system governed by laws which all are held accountable to, ESPECIALLY Government. Fascism, Socialism, Communism, Monarchy's are all in fact nothing more than an Oligarchy which is only a select few rule. Where as Anarchy is no rule a Republic is a system of laws that all are held accountable. It allows the people the freedom to prosper and for the most part become what ever they choose as long as it doesn't violate the Law.
The "Herd" has been manipulated so long, hell they think the U.S. is a Democracy. NO WHERE in the Constitution does it state we're a Democracy, in the Federalist Papers you can read how our Founding Fathers spoke out about the dangers of a Democracy.
The term "Republic" took me years to understand and appreciate after growing up having my head filled with the improper term of "democracy". I admit that it did take me awhile to wrap my head around that subject. What Pagan did above is take those terms and describe it in an easy, able-to-understand, dormat, which is greatly appreciated.
Glen Beck pulls no punches, nor utilizes favoritism is his assessments of what is happening in this country today. I imagine he represents a threat with his truthiness, which is why some have chosen to attack him with sponsorship. That speaks for itself as it tells me he is closer to the truth thatn most give him credit for.
I am sure no one will be surpised to find out I am a Beck fan. I don't get to listen to him much but like most of what I hear. Sometimes I think he goes a bit overboard with his shows and "WAIT TILL YOU HEAR MY SECRET" ...Tune in at 5:00..... But his message is clear and concise. I like that he isn't just some suit spouting lines he has been to the bottom and worked his way back out and over the top. This was an absolute GREAT speech. I think I am going to download and burn to DVD for a few friends.
The problem I see with it all is few are ready for the type of conservative world that Beck speaks of. Even many here. How many are willing to do away with the FHA, FDIC, Welfare, Social Security, and unemployment? I would gander, not many. Most desire the freedom but want a safety net just in case. Hopefully people will listen to this man and the likes of him and pare back government to levels this generation would not have dreamed of living without.

I am just curious but how do you propose we put the issuance of currency back in the hands of the people?
I am just curious but how do you propose we put the issuance of currency back in the hands of the people?
I don't have the answer, but I do know "if" we do it's going to take a while to unravel all the tentacles that have been buried deep into our society.
That is the reason I asked. It seems a HUGELY daunting task to consider a new monetary system. The gold standard while self regulating seems as though it would put the country at a huge disadvantage to the rest of the world.
I have considered maybe a election by the people of the FED chairman and board. having them appopinted by the President just puts them beholden to government too much. And a one term limit for the chairman. Greenspan's extended tenure may very well have destroyed this country.
We can all be issued electronic credits based on dollars held today, then from that point forward you make debit/deposit into your cash account. Let the markets determine item valuations based upn demand for goods/services.
All kidding aside I like Beck - I don't always agree with him, yet he is about as close to my mind-set as any talking head or pundit I can think of - well other than Charles. K. who generally presents a more logical and realistic interpretation to an issue.
