You can't get something for nothing, but that seems to be what Americans want. According Amy Walter over at National Journal a swath of recent polls tell a similar story. "Americans
know that the system is broken and would like to see it fixed. But the
more a potential fix affects them personally, the less interested they
are in supporting it."
Are we destined to keep passing the buck until we are bankrput as a society. Is California our national future?
