NASCAR - to chase or not to chase

I know that many like the current Chase format in NASCAR, but I'm not so sure I do. Of course, I may be biased. My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, a four time Cup champion. Under the old system, he'd actually be a 6-time champion. Instead, his protege is ruling the roost. Worse for me, I think his protege is an arrogant, cocky, ungrateful, non-team playing, whiny person so it's been hard to sit back and watch his domination over the Chase portion of the NASCAR year. Still, in my heart, Jeff's a winner six times over.

The Chase format fucking sucks ass. It always has. NASCAR is basically a corporate whore anymore. It's all but fixed. (and may actually BE fixed) Save the $75 bucks and go to 2-3 races at a small hometown track. The racing is better.

Re: NASCAR - to chase or not to chase

I refuse to spend any of my deflated dollars on professional sports, I find food, drink and friends around far more rewarding!  Most over paid professional sports figures are nothing more than a bunch of spoiled little kids that never grew up and choose to play games instead of being productive citizens.  Of course this is just IMO.    Not that I have anything against leisure time recreaction and competition mind you, it is just that i find little if any real redeeming qualities associated with professional sports.
