This is a test of Sun's Open Office/Star Office Weblog plugin.

Let's see if it works, if it does you can download the plugin here -

Sun Weblog Publisher Plugin

Will it work? If you see this posted to my blog than it does, to set it up just click on the link above, download the plugin. Then open the file up with Open Office (must be => 3.x) then once configured the url to the blogger api (metablog format) will be

Then you put in your username and password, then have at it!

Well Cool Beans, the plugin works!  Howzit Brudda

So you Open Office users, use Open Office and you can make posts to your blog from your desktop!

Let me know if anyone has any trouble with it, but so far it looks like it works well.

Well after clicking on the reply button I only had to wait about 4 min before I could start typing but anyway...

I downloaded the plugin and installed it.  The only place that I found it to use it was under tools -- options and the internet category.  I would think a control or button for it would show up in the menu or a button for a toolbar like there writers tool extentions does.  It kind of makes it awkward to use that way.

Here is a interesting link to a page that is a couple of years old on blogging clients

I have played with Windows live writer and it is actually a pretty good little program.  I am going to play with the Blog client built into Flock and BlogDesk for right now since I am using a 64 bit Win 7 ultimate as my primary desktop though it a couple of months I will be returning to Linux as my primary.  Since I used Ubuntu or a derivitive for the last 3 years I am thinking of going to OpenSuse as my primary for a while.

Anyway
