Oh how sweet having something that actually isn't a caveman dial up connection, even if I have to move 1800 miles to get it.....

Besides the sun shines here and is actually warmer at times even in the winter.  In a way its nice to be back home even if it is the Panhandle of Texas.....

Yes, a warming climate can mean more snow.  A better term would of just been climate change, however that cat was already let out of the bag.   After spending three years at a U.S. Navy Meteorological and Oceanographic Command, I learned all about weather, climate and oceanography.  All three are different entities, while all three are intertwined.  A paradox you might ask, not really.

Weather is what is happening right now.  Climate is the pattern of weather over time.  The oceans are influenced over time by the weather which in turn influences the weather, which has a direct effect on the climate.   Yes, weather and the oceans have feedback mechanisms to each other and climate is the results of it over time.  - - Read More - -

Liberal Today, Liberal 220 years ago, Thomas Paine

Oh how I like to laugh at all today’s Libertarians and fiscal Conservatives who try and claim Thomas Paine was a Classical Liberal in the mold of either today Libertarians or fiscal Conservatives.  Then they like to espouse that Classical Liberals are totally different than today’s Liberal and try and use the example that Classical Liberalism was all about the free market.  I hate to tell you guys that the market of the Founders like Paine, Jefferson and Smith was not in any form the free market that you dream about, nor does it have any true comparisons around today.  You should really put down the propaganda and fiction of Milton Friedman, Friedrich von Hayek and Ayn Rand and actually read Adam Smiths, “Wealth of Nations”.    - - Read More - -

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

What is the definition of plural: adj, 1. Composed of more than one member, set, or kind. 2. Grammatical form that designates more than one of the things specified.
